We stock the Original Spread and the Gluten Free Spread. Gluten free Vegemite is the one worth knowing about. Shops abroad that carry Vegemite at all usually stock the standard jar only, so the gluten free jar is far harder to find. 99, and the jars are the same size you would find at home.
Vegemite is Australian rather than a New Zealand product, and we would rather say so than dress it up. It sits here because Kiwi households have eaten it for as long as anyone can remember, usually alongside a jar of Marmite for whoever prefers that.
Kiwis have eaten it for a century, so it sits on our shelf with the other breakfast things. If you are buying Marmite as well, that is the other jar people order at the same time.
Both jars travel well, and they sit with the rest of the spreads in a box that ships at one rate up to 2 kg.
Both jars are sturdy enough for a long trip, and they belong beside the other spreads.
